About Earth Notes
Clear insights for a greener, more resilient Punjab.
Earth Notes is the blog platform of the Environment Protection & Climate Change Department (EPCCD), Government of the Punjab. We bring together evidence, informed perspectives, and experiences from the field to help people understand environmental issues and explore practical solutions.
Our focus is Punjab, and we welcome contributions from across Pakistan. We cover air pollution, water, waste, climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable development issues that shape our health, livelihoods, and everyday lives.
Our Vision
“To inform, inspire, and empower people for a greener, resilient Punjab.”
We aim to make environmental knowledge accessible and useful, helping readers better understand the challenges around them and take an informed part in addressing them.
What We Publish
We publish articles that explain environmental problems, examine the evidence, and share lessons from research and local action. Our contributors include departmental specialists, researchers, practitioners, students, journalists, and informed citizens.
We connect environmental expertise with the experience of putting it into practice in Punjab. Through this exchange, readers can explore how policies work on the ground, the challenges communities face, and approaches that may offer a practical way forward.
Our Commitment to Readers
Clear language, credible sources, and thoughtful discussion guide our editorial approach. We seek original, relevant contributions that support their claims with evidence and offer readers a useful insight.
Guest contributions reflect their authors’ views and do not necessarily represent the department’s official position. Official departmental positions are identified separately.
