Dr. Naeem Akhtar Abbasi is an environmental toxicologist and ecotoxicology specialist leading the Environmental Toxicology Lab at CEES, University of the Punjab. His primary research centers on environmental risk assessment, biomonitoring, and the environmental fate of classical and emerging pollutants—including persistent organic pollutants (POPs), flame retardants, PFAS, short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs), and toxic trace metals (e.g., arsenic, lead, chromium) across terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
